Lead HVAC Technician

Location: Wake Forest, NC (Travel Required)

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role will handle service, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems, primarily in restaurant and light commercial environments. The ideal candidate can work independently, diagnose issues quickly, and take ownership of jobs from start to finish. Experience installing commercial HVAC units is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, etc.)
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues
• Communicate clearly with customers on issues, solutions, and recommendations
• Complete service calls independently and manage time efficiently
• Coordinate with office staff and project managers on scheduling and parts
• Maintain clean, organized service vehicles and job sites
• Assist with or lead installation of commercial HVAC equipment when needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of HVAC service experience (commercial preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience with commercial HVAC installs is a plus
• Good communication and customer-facing skills

Travel:

• Primarily local work with occasional out-of-town jobs
• Overnight travel may be required depending on project
• Lodging provided when traveling
• Daily food stipend provided during travel
