Backend Engineer – MLOps Platform (AWS)

Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend web development using Python

• Hands-on experience building and operating production-grade backend systems

• Experience working in cloud-based environments, preferably AWS

Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development

• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI

• Experience with WSGI/ASGI web servers (Gunicorn, Uvicorn, etc.)

• Solid understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming (AsyncIO)

• Experience with unit and functional testing frameworks

• Experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS preferred)

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices

• Ability to collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams

• Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka client development in Python

• Experience with MLOps platforms (AWS SageMaker, Kubeflow, MLflow)

• Experience with big data processing frameworks, especially Apache Spark

• Experience with container orchestration platforms (AWS ECS, AWS EKS)

• Experience with DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Jenkins)

• Knowledge of Python packaging and distribution tools (Wheel, PEX, Conda)
