Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Appian Developer / Appian Technical Consultant to design, develop, and implement business process solutions using the Appian Low-Code BPM platform. This role requires expertise in Appian development components such as process models, SAIL interfaces, integrations, CDTs, and web APIs, along with a solid grasp of BPMN standards, XML, and XSD. The ideal candidate will play a key role in solution architecture, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating across global teams in a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and end-to-end development of complex applications on the Appian BPM platform.
• Develop and maintain:
• Appian Process Models using BPMN standards
• SAIL Interfaces for dynamic and responsive UI
• Web APIs (REST/SOAP) for system integrations
• Custom Data Types (CDTs), records, sites, and reports
• Complex forms with validations and rule-based behavior
• Participate in requirements gathering and translate business needs into scalable Appian solutions.
• Design robust integration solutions with third-party systems (databases, web services, etc.).
• Develop and optimize reusable components and plug-ins for application efficiency.
• Perform peer code reviews, enforce development best practices, and support continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Appian developers.
• Support QA and UAT efforts, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Contribute to deployment, documentation, and maintenance of solutions across multiple environments.

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Appian BPM development
• Expertise in:
• Appian Process Models
• SAIL Interfaces
• Appian Integrations with REST and SOAP
• Web API design and consumption
• Reporting, Form design, CDTs, and Record Types
• Proficient in BPMN, XML, and XSD
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
• Prior experience working in hybrid or distributed team settings

Preferred Skills:

• Appian Level 1 or Level 2 certification (preferred)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Appian RPA and plug-in customization
• Experience with performance optimization in large-scale Appian apps
• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
