  Role Overview The Engineering Lead will be the technical owner responsible for architecting, engineering, and scaling the platform capabilities spanning Cloud Services, Developer Experience, GenAI integration, ITSM workflows, and Security automation. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring engineering expertise, strong architectural judgement, and capability to lead multidisciplinary teams across cloud, full-stack development, security, and automation. The leader will drive engineering excellence, platform reliability, backlog execution, standards adoption, and cross-functional integration, with high-quality delivery of the software platform with enterprise readiness. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture • Work with Customer stakeholders to define the technical vision, engineering roadmap, and architectural patterns for the platform. • Establish reusable frameworks for automation, MCP integrations, secure cloud design, developer experience tooling, and observability. • Engage with stakeholders in making build/buy/extend decisions aligned with platform strategy and enterprise engineering principles. • Provide hands-on engineering oversight across front-end, back-end, GenAI integrations, cloud infrastructure, and security. Hands-on Engineering • Lead complex engineering tasks, code reviews, PoCs, and performance optimisations. • Build reference implementations, reusable automation patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and SDK-aligned integration workflows. • Champion the adoption of engineering best practices including IaC, DevOps, test automation, SRE practices, and GenAI-assisted development. Team Leadership & Delivery • Lead and mentor a 20 – 25 engineers within the cross-functional engineering team (Cloud, Security, Full-Stack, Automation, Scrum Master). • Establish engineering rituals (design reviews, architecture council, sprint governance). • Drive delivery predictability, throughput, and quality across workstreams. Stakeholder Management • Partner with Product Owner, Solution Architects, and Security leads to translate business requirements into actionable engineering roadmaps. • Engage with leadership and customers to articulate technical direction, risks, and progress. Governance, Security, and Compliance • Ensure all development follows secure-by-design practices. • Drive cloud governance, IAM standards, vulnerability management, and compliance alignment. • Oversee quality gates for architecture, performance, and security. Innovation & GenAI Enablement • Build capability accelerators using GenAI (developer copilots, test automation, content generation, runbook automation). • Integrate MCPs, multi-agent workflows, and SDK-aligned patterns into platform capabilities. Required Technical Skills Core Engineering Expertise • 12–16 years in software/platform development and engineering; 5+ years in engineering leadership. • Deep experience with cloud-native application design, preferably AWS. • Strong expertise in Node.js, Python, Java, React, TypeScript, microservices, APIs. • Experience designing and scaling enterprise-grade products used internally or externally. Cloud & Automation • Knowledge into IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation. • Cloud networking, security, governance, and operationalisation. • Workflow automation, platform engineering, developer portals. Security • Strong understanding of IAM, zero trust, SOC2/NIST/ISO controls, CIEM, CSPM. • Experience with secure app design, threat modelling, DevSecOps. GenAI & Developer Experience • Practical experience integrating GenAI models (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Llama, Groq). • Knowledge of RAG, orchestration frameworks, multi-agent systems. • Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh, and modern CI/CD toolchains Leadership & Behavioural Competencies • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams with clarity and decisiveness. • Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. • Capability to manage delivery, prioritisation, and engineering trade-offs. • Experience building engineering culture centred on automation-first and “shift-left”.
