Lead Independent Consultant – Higher Education Transformation

We are seeking a seasoned independent consultant to lead a major higher education digital transformation program in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is suited to an experienced contractor/freelancer who already operates via their own company (LLC) or freelance visa and can mobilise quickly.

Role Overview;

• Act as the lead consultant on-site, facilitating bilingual workshops (Arabic/English) with senior stakeholders and faculty.
• Map end-to-end academic and operational processes (student lifecycle, finance, HR, and support functions).
• Translate mapped processes into functional requirements for ERP (Oracle Fusion), SIS (e.g. Banner) and LMS (e.g. Canvas).
• Support vendor evaluations, RFPs and system selection, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and actionable.
• Provide client-facing leadership while remaining hands-on with detailed process mapping and solution alignment.

Candidate Profile;

• Fluent Arabic & English (essential for leading workshops).
• 12+ years’ experience in consulting or transformation delivery, ideally with higher education or government exposure.
• Proven hands-on BPM expertise (BPMN, ARIS, Visio, iGrafx).
• ERP transformation experience (Oracle Fusion preferred) plus exposure to SIS/LMS environments.
• Operates as an independent consultant with LLC/freelance visa.
• Strong facilitation, vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
