Lead Infant Teacher

Responsibilities:

Position Summary

The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role supports the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children while maintaining strong communication with families and collaborating with center staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise infants at all times in the classroom, changing areas, and on the playground
• Plan and implement daily and weekly lesson plans that support infant development
• Create engaging experiences through songs, sensory play, games, and storytelling
• Perform daily caregiving routines including feeding, diapering, and soothing
• Observe, document, and track daily needs, behaviors, and developmental milestones
• Establish and maintain consistent routines for infants
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure learning environment
• Communicate effectively and professionally with parents and team members
• Remain alert, responsive, and attentive to children at all times
• Follow all health, safety, and emergency procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children (infants preferred)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential strongly preferred
• Ability to work effectively with diverse families, staff, and community members
• Passion for early childhood education with a positive, mission-driven attitude
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Must pass a background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
