Lead Infant Teacher

<Duties>

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth tailored to infants and toddlers.
  • Lead classroom activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and early intervention strategies to support children with special needs.
  • Manage daily classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap schedules, and behavior management to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and interns, fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on high-quality childcare.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of children's developmental progress, assessments, and standardized testing results as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education.

  • Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers.
  • Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development within early childhood settings.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners effectively.
  • Ability to work with children with diverse needs including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Expertise in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods, preschool experience, daycare operations, and private school environments is advantageous.
  • Competence in using standardized testing tools to assess developmental progress and inform instruction.
