We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Lead the planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate curricula focused on early childhood education, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff to ensure high-quality classroom management and effective lesson planning aligned with best practices in childhood development.
- Collaborate with families to support child welfare, communicate progress, and tailor care plans that meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Oversee classroom activities to promote positive behavior management and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for toddlers and infants.
- Conduct regular classroom observations to monitor teaching effectiveness, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster continuous improvement in childcare practices.
- Manage daily operations of the infant classroom, including scheduling, documentation, and maintaining a clean, organized space conducive to learning and growth.
- Facilitate ongoing professional development for staff in areas such as classroom management, standardized testing preparation, and early intervention strategies.
Skills
- Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on infants and toddlers care.
- Strong background in curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori techniques.
- Proven ability to lead classroom management initiatives while fostering a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, families, staff, and external specialists such as special education professionals.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies tailored for young children to support positive social interactions.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood programs and tutoring techniques when applicable.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
