Experience Required: 12-15 years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation / Control Systems Engineering

Position Overview

The Head of the Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Department will lead the complete instrumentation, control, and automation function for all Company projects — covering process dryers, evaporators, and allied systems for chemical, fertilizer, food, and renewable sectors. The role demands strong leadership in design, engineering, selection, integration, and commissioning of control and instrumentation systems aligned with project requirements and international standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Department Leadership

• Lead and manage the Control & Instrumentation team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with project schedules.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering templates, and departmental KPIs.
• Drive capability development, training, and mentoring of team members.
• Interface closely with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, and Automation teams for integrated project execution.

2. Engineering & Design

• Prepare and review Instrument Index, I/O lists, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control Narratives, and Loop Diagrams.
• Develop control philosophies, logic diagrams, and instrument datasheets (transmitters, control valves, analyzers, flow elements, etc.).
• Ensure adherence to standards such as ISA, IEC, IS, and ATEX requirements.
• Prepare P&IDs and ensure instrumentation alignment with process design intent.
• Review and finalize DCS / PLC / SCADA system architecture, panel layouts, and control logic.
