Full-time | Monday-Friday | Amarillo, TX

Amarillo Lawn Sprinkler has been serving the Texas Panhandle since 1974. We need a lead-level irrigation tech who can run service calls independently, manage a helper on bigger jobs, and represent the company well in front of customers. You'll diagnose problems, make the call on what needs to happen, and get it done right the first time. You will be the leader to a crew. You will be getting bonuses on each commercial contract you land.

This is not entry-level. We're not going to teach you what a solenoid is.

What You'll Be Doing

Running repair and service calls on residential and commercial irrigation systems. Diagnosing valve, wiring, controller, and pipe issues without someone standing over your shoulder. Locating and repairing mainline and lateral leaks. Adjusting coverage, replacing heads and nozzles, and making systems run the way they should. Talking to customers on-site about what you found, what you did, and what they need to know. Training and directing helpers in the field when paired up. Collecting payment on-site when applicable.

What You Need to Have

3+ years of hands-on irrigation repair experience. Not landscaping. Not "I helped my uncle one summer." Actual sprinkler irrigation troubleshooting and repair. Working knowledge of valves, solenoids, wiring, controllers, backflow preventers, and pipe repair (lateral and mainline). A valid driver's license. The ability to show up on time, every day, and put in a full day of physical work in Texas Panhandle weather. The ability to lift 50+ lbs, dig, trench, and work on your feet. Communication skills. You will be the face of this company at every job and to every team member who will be under your guidance.

What Sets You Apart

Experience with Rain Bird products and equipment. Backflow testing or repair experience. Experience leading a crew or training new techs.
