Lead, IT Disaster Recovery Innovation (contract)

KPMG is currently seeking a Lead, IT Disaster Recovery Innovation (AD) to join our Digital Nexus organization.

Responsibilities:
Lead and collaborate IT Disaster recovery initiatives to enhance internal services for stakeholders; guide the development and implementation of innovation projects and continuous improvements initiatives within IT Disaster Recovery program to ensure efficient processes and tools

Engage in dashboard building using KPMG tools (PowerBI, Splunk, Monday.com , and more)

Document and give proper tracking to enhancements required by the team in Business Continuity Module in SNow, Monday.com

Develop business cases and implement automation tools and AI to enhance IT Disaster recovery practice, simplify processes, reduce risk, increase resiliency on critical applications, and reduce costs.

Provide Technical and Implementation support for ITDR Self-Service Project

Participate in internal forums for the adoption of new technologies, best practices and methodologies for improving the services offered by IT Disaster Recovery team

Act as liaison between IT DR Ops Team and IT DR innovation/developers to implement DevOps practice to eliminate the roadblocks and accelerate the high-quality improvements

Act as Scrum Master for Innovation team, perform agile ceremonies

Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications:
Minimum six years of recent experience in related field

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Software Engineering preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required

Strong understanding of Agile methodology and Scrum framework (Certified Scrum Master preferred)

Knowledge on SRE/DevOps practice for automating and streamlining workflows

Familiarity with tools like PowerBI, Splunk, ServiceNow, and more

Hands-on experience with automation tools to address operational challenges such as Scripting, Power Automate, AI tools

Capability to understand business needs and translate them into initiatives for service improvements

Proven experience coordinating cross-functional development teams

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority

Ability to prioritize and to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Rate Range

85 - 116 USD hourly
