POSITION SUMMARY:
The Shift Lead’s role and responsibly is to act as the coordinator of record and support the Maintenance Coordinator with leadership oversight of the off-shift maintenance mechanics/electricians. Daily duties include assignment of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks assigned to the off-shift by the Maintenance Coordinator, order parts/materials required by off-shift mechanics/electricians, assist Maintenance Coordinator with off-shift staff scheduling, and other duties as directed.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
High school graduate with a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the facilities maintenance/construction field. Supervisory experience and/or relevant Certification/licensure is preferred.

Participates in orientation and continuing education in order to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal, motivational and conflict resolution skills. Strong participatory management, team building and administrative skills. Broad based knowledge of related regulatory compliance requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENTAL AND HAZARDS:
Exposure Class I or II, service specific – Limited exposure to situations which could cause serious illness or injury (II). Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions (I).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium work: Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push and pull

Pay Range: $25.85-37.50

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
