Lead Mechanic

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Mechanic to oversee maintenance operations and ensure the optimal functioning of equipment across our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, leadership qualities, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairs. This role is vital in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting operational efficiency.

Duties

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and circuits accurately.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure all equipment operates efficiently.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on proper repair techniques and safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production managers to coordinate maintenance activities with operational schedules to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in electrical testing tools, including ohmmeters.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
• Strong communication skills for effective team coordination and reporting.

Pay: $23.49 - $31.91 per hour
