About The Role

The Value Engineering is seeking an accomplished Senior MERN Stack Developer to take ownership of our core product architecture. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role for an individual ready to transition from merely executing tasks to designing and driving technical strategy. You will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring our applications are scalable, secure, and high-performing.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Architectural Ownership & Development:

• Design and architect scalable and maintainable solutions across the full MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack.
• Lead the development of greenfield features and complex system integrations.
• Implement advanced features in React.js, utilizing modern hooks and context APIs, and complex state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Recoil, or Zustand).
• Develop robust, high-performance, and secure Node.js/Express.js APIs following RESTful or GraphQL standards.
• Manage and optimize MongoDB databases, including indexing, query optimization, and implementing data modeling strategies.
• Ensure code quality through writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

Technical Leadership & Operations:

• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and delivery timelines.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, code reviews, and best practices (e.g., SOLID principles).
• Manage deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and deployment environments on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure).
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
• Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve system performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5 to 8 years of progressive, verifiable professional experience in full-stack development, with deep focus on the MERN stack.
• Core Stack Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/ES6+, Node.js, Express.js, React.js, and MongoDB.
• Advanced Front-end: Strong command of modern React ecosystem, including functional components, hooks, and advanced routing. Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks is highly desirable.
• API & Backend: Proven experience in designing complex APIs and implementing authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth).
• Tools & Dev Ops: Proficient with Git, CI/CD tools, and practical experience with Docker/Containerization.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
