E-AIM is seeking a Lead Microsoft 365 / Power Platform Engineer to serve as the technical lead for a large federal M365 environment. This role oversees platform design, configuration, and operations across SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online, Power Platform, Copilot, and AvePoint, working closely with architects, developers, security, and federal stakeholders.
You will be the main technical point of contact for complex issues and modernization initiatives in the M365 ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical health of the Microsoft 365 tenant (M365 workloads, Power Platform environments, integrations).
- Power Platform environments and ALM pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod)
- Governance policies (DLP, environment strategy, CoE-style monitoring)
- Integrations with on-premise systems (Windows Server, SQL Server) and Azure services.
- Provide tier-3 escalation support for major incidents and complex problems in M365 and Power Platform.
- Guide SharePoint Online architecture (hub sites, site templates, permissions, retention).
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to align configurations with data protection and audit requirements.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to developers, architects, and technical consultants on the team.
- Contribute to roadmaps and technical standards for M365 services, including new features (Copilot, Defender, Purview enhancements).
- Support development and maintenance of technical documentation, runbooks, and reference architectures.
- Participate in regular status meetings and provide input to bi-weekly and monthly health reports.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise Microsoft 365 engineering/administration, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online.
- 3+ years leading or architecting Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
- Strong hands-on experience with PowerShell administration and automation.
- Experience integrating M365 with Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, and Azure services.
- Proven record acting as a technical lead on complex cloud projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public-trust level background investigation
Preferred
- Prior experience supporting federal government or regulated environments.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, PL-400, PL-600, AZ-305).
- Experience with AvePoint Online Services or similar backup/governance tools.
