Lead - Nerve Center - Noatum logistics ME

Job Purpose:

The Nerve Center Lead is responsible for establishing, leading and institutionalizing a regional control tower capability that enables rapid, coordinated and data driven response to operational disruptions, strategic risks and cross cluster challenges across ports, logistics, and maritime operations. This role acts as the central orchestration point during crises and high impact events ensuring alignment across business units driving structured decision making and maintaining execution discipline. It combines real time operational command with forward looking risk preparedness supporting the organization’s transformation into a top tier global logistics player.


Key Responsibilities:

Crisis & Incident Command Leadership:

  • Lead the regional nerve center during disruptions example: port congestion, geopolitical events, supply chain breakdowns, capacity shortages etc..
  • Coordinate end to end response across clusters i.e.Ports, Logistics, Maritime ensuring unified action plans.
  • Establish structured incident management protocols (escalation tiers, response playbooks).
  • Act as the single point of truth for crisis status, decisions and execution tracking.

Cross-Cluster Coordination & Orchestration:

  • Drive alignment between business verticals and functional teams such as operations, commercial, procurement, legal, risk & IT.
  • Break down silos and ensure seamless information flow across countries and clusters.
  • Facilitate rapid decision making by synthesizing inputs into actionable options for leadership.
  • Ensure dependencies across supply chain nodes are identified and managed proactively.

Decision Support & Scenario Planning:

  • Develop and present structured response options with clear trade offs like cost, service, risk etc..
  • Leverage analytics and operational intelligence to support real time decision making.
  • Lead scenario planning exercises such as disruption simulations, stress testing supply chains etc..
  • Partner with strategy and operations teams to translate insights into executable plans.

Action Tracking & Execution Discipline:

  • Implement robust tracking mechanisms for all crisis related actions and decisions.
  • Ensure timely follow ups and accountability across stakeholders.
  • Monitor execution progress and flag deviations/escalations proactively.
  • Drive closure discipline and post incident reviews.

Escalation & Stakeholder Management:

  • Define and manage escalation frameworks across country and regional leadership.
  • Interface with Group Crisis Management Team for alignment on global priorities.
  • Provide regular executive updates via dashboards, briefings, situation reports.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Regional MD and the Group Crisis Management team during high pressure situations.

Nerve Center Capability Building:

  • Design and institutionalize the regional nerve center operating model.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, playbooks and governance frameworks.
  • Build digital dashboards and visibility tools for control tower capabilities.
  • Train regional teams on crisis response protocols and best practices.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation Support:

  • Capture lessons learned from incidents and embed into operational processes.
  • Identify systemic risks and recommend structural improvements.
  • Support transformation initiatives such as digitalization, network optimization, M&A integration.
  • Benchmark against leading logistics players and adopt best practices.
