Roles & Responsibilities:
The Lead Netsuite Analyst will manage all requests related to our different accounting software: NetSuite, BuildASign’s home-grown legacy system, Salesforce, QlikSense, Avalara, NOP Commerce and more - assisting in SKU management, month-end close tasks, data clean-up, and offer support to the BAS team. The Netsuite Analyst will work closely with the Controller, external NetSuite Consultant, and BAS’s current Netsuite Analyst on the team.
This person is excited to learn about our business and how we operate and can apply that knowledge to leverage systems to deliver efficient solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
Item SKUs management including creation, mapping, testing, troubleshooting, and additional maintenance
Serve as the go-to person for NetSuite and provide technical and functional system support to different departments
Maintain NetSuite to meet BuildASign’s needs and work with outside Consultant on improvement opportunities
Conduct thorough testing on any new product, process, or functional initiatives as required by the business, perform systematic validation, and deploy
Create/update reports and saved searches, and assist in data analysis
Ensure consistent and accurate data flow of information to and from Netsuite
Understanding of the end-to-end integration to NetSuite, as well as all of the BAS business applications, and be able to effectively troubleshoot
Lead requirement-gathering sessions from users to determine effective solutions (reports, automated processes, etc.) and translate the business needs into systems requirements
Identify, create, and perform data clean-up procedures
Day-to-day administrator responsibilities involving providing new user access, troubleshooting access issues and user permissions, roles, and creating audit reports
Assist Controller with projects and audit requests as needed
To be successful in this role one must demonstrate:
Strong knowledge of the different functionalities, capabilities, and limitations of NetSuite
Solid understanding of systems, tables, and databases
Team player attitude and ability to work collaboratively with other departments
Excellent time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Ability to self-manage projects and meet deadlines
Comfortable with understanding and solving challenging technical problems, while still being humble enough to admit when there is a knowledge gap
Very strong attention to detail and process-improvement minded
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Willingness to roll sleeves up and get down in the weeds
Self-motivated, adaptable, and reliable
Ability to work both independently and as a team
Qualifications:
7+ years hands-on experience with NetSuite (administering, implementing, consulting, or developing)
Working knowledge of general NetSuite functionality, CSV imports, saved searches, SuiteBuilder and web services
Bachelor’s degree in IT Management, Management Systems, Computer Science or Accounting
Proficient Excel skills are required
SuiteScript, Javascript, SQL, and other programming experience is a plus
Accounting experience and GAAP knowledge is a plus
