Responsibilities
Paints, stains and varnishes using brushes and rollers. Cleans, sands, sandblasts, scrapes, brushes and burns surfaces in preparation for painting. Repairs surfaces to be painted including plastering and sheet rock finishing. Erects scaffolding, movable and immovable staging and various rigging to gain access to difficult areas; moves furniture and equipment as necessary. Read work orders or receive instructions from supervisor to determine work requirements. Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as required.
Qualifications
Work requires an educational background normally equivalent to high school with shop work courses.
Work requires 4 years experience in the preparation and painting of interior and exterior walls to acquire a working knowledge of techniques, practices, and methods of painting trade.
Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a high school or GED education. Must have a valid driver’s license. A minimum of four years experience as a professional painter.
