LEAD PLANNING PROGRAM MANAGER

The Lead Planning and Program Manager is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and professional duties in connection with the development of conceptual space plans, to support capital project construction and related operational activities for the division of Space Planning & Programming. This role will work directly with the leadership team in Planning, Design, and Construction along with other leaders within the organization in relation to facilities improvements, and space utilization.
This position will participate in the execution of all Campus Master Space Plans in regard to new construction and remodeling of existing space. This role will create and present views into the overall plans, vision and targeted projects to Senior Leadership and Stakeholders. The Lead Planning and Program Manager will lead efforts in determining high level requirements along with preparation of visuals including options that align with the Campus Master Plans. Responsible for coordinating with other planning and design team members along with organizational partners to better understand campus-wide space utilization, develop concepts to maximize facility use and make recommendations.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with regulatory compliance such as Fire Marshal, Code Enforcement, ADA, AHCA, CMS, The Joint Commission.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
  • Architecture or Interior Design
  • Lean, Six Sigma and or Process Improvement
  • PMP, CSM or other Project Management
  • Master's Degree Business, Planning or Healthcare Related Field

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's Degree - Business, Planning or Healthcare related field.

Minimum Experience Required:

A minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in conceptual space planning through implementation in healthcare, research lab, administrative and/or large campus facilities is required. Three (3) years' experience (may be inclusive of other experience) of project management and leading teams to recommendations and solutions is required.

Above experience must also include:
1) evaluating and independently summarize needs and key information along with creation sketches, and/or test fits.
2) conducting long term planning and programming.

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

  • Must posse a high level of abstract reasoning, flexible thinking, creativity, judgment, and logical problemsolving
    skills.
  • Requires attention to detail while still maintaining a big picture orientation.
  • Building relationships and connecting with all levels of the organization is key to better understand current and future needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as ability to facilitate a team to defined outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Lead decision making process with fiscal accountability and responsibility, while making independent decisions on solving problems creatively.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office.
