Chicago Contemporary Preschool is a welcoming, inclusive work environment with highly qualified staff that is looking for a professional, loving, and creative team member. This position requires being able to work collaboratively with other staff to create a warm and nurturing environment where children can grow and learn.
Lead teachers implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans to children and foster open communication with parents on a constant basis about progress, schedules, and individual achievement.
Chicago Contemporary Preschool is a licensed preschool that operates under the NAEYC and DCFS guidelines and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or related field.
- Successful completion of a DCFS background check
- Three letters of reference
- Prior experience working in an early childhood preschool or child development lab setting.
- Foster a team environment by working with CCP team members to make sure the classroom operates at high standards at all times. This may include working with different age groups as needed and sharing ideas for lesson plans and teaching practices.
- Implement daily lesson plans that correlate with the curriculum and integrate developmental milestones and creative expression. Promote problem solving skills and practice “you try first” approach to encourage independence.
- Create and maintain a clean, positive, and safe environment for children to grown and explore.
- Engage in daily outdoor activity
- Interest in self-growth and willingness to increase knowledge of early childhood field.
- Attend mandatory school events, staff meetings, &parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain great attendance record and remain in compliance with CCP attendance policy.

Chicago Contemporary Preschool is a year round program with facility working between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm. Full time staff work 40 hours per week with shifts and breaks coordinated with the director and co-teaching staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
