Lead Preschool Teacher

The Eagles Learning Center is looking for dedicated, enthusiastic candidates that have a passion for working with young children. We are looking to fill an Toddler/Pre-School room position that prefers a degree in either early childhood education or an equivalent. Applicants that have an understanding of Step Up to Quality and ASQs are also preferred.

The room teacher will be using the Creative Curriculum to create lesson plans that include age appropriate and child directed activities. This position also involves duties such as developing age appropriate and child directed lesson plans, interacting with children of various developmental stages in an enthusiastic and friendly manner, interacting and meeting with parents each day, completing child assessments, serving meals, light cleaning, following all state licensing rules as well as participating in step up to quality, etc

Our teachers work together:

• Developing and implementing lesson plans in 8 developmental domains
• Participating in staff and training meetings
• Providing a loving and caring environment at all times
• Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with children, parents and fellow staff
• Meeting The Eagles Learning Center Quality Assurance and Ohio state licensing requirements
• Possessing characteristics of flexibility, composure, attention to detail and a love of working with children

Job Requirements

• Prior classroom experience strongly preferred (Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten)
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and expectations
• Strong written and communication skills
• Ability to handle changing priorities and responsibilities with a positive attitude
• Must pass BCII and FBI Fingerprinting
• CDA, Associates degree or enrollment in Early Childhood Education program strongly preferred
