Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This position requires a strong background in early childhood education, along with the ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students. The Lead Teacher will also be responsible for guiding and mentoring assistant teachers, ensuring that all educational standards are met while promoting the overall development of each child.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration among students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as necessary.
- Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports children with developmental disabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers, ensuring effective classroom management and instructional practices.
- Incorporate various teaching methodologies, including Montessori principles, to enhance learning experiences.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and staff regarding student needs and progress.
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education, including knowledge of developmental milestones.
- Experience in childcare settings, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse groups of children effectively.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, with a focus on creating engaging and educational activities.
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques and behavioral health strategies is a plus.
- Experience working with students who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of math concepts suitable for young learners is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
