Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (3's class) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will implement age-appropriate activities and lesson plans that encourage exploration and learning while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child in your care. We are a Jewish Preschool, but you need not be Jewish to apply. We are seeking an experienced, hard working, flexible minded lead teacher who is able to lead two assistants teachers in the functioning of the class as they care for a group of 15 children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social interaction, cooperation, and respect among children.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's behavior and support their emotional needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's development and identify any early intervention needs.
- Collaborate with special education professionals when necessary to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Organize physical education activities that promote health, fitness, and motor skills development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children in an educational or daycare setting.
- Strong skills in tutoring and providing individualized support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to effectively address various behavioral challenges.
- A background in early intervention techniques for children who may require additional support.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special educational needs.
