Common Accountabilities

• Bring extensive expertise in your discipline and provide guidance, encourage innovation, and support skill development for team members.

• Collaborate on shaping department strategy and translate it into actionable plans, working with the team to define and track goals.

• Operate autonomously while aligning with management guidance and contribute to cross-functional projects.

• Act as a resource for quality standards and best practices to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Specific Accountabilities

Technical Excellence

• Establish and promote best practices for code quality and secure coding through reviews, guidelines, unit testing, and refactoring.

• Encourage adoption of methodologies such as Agile and DevOps and recommend improvements to development tools and environments.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess tools to avoid duplication.

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend enhancements to components and strategies for managing technical debt.

• Suggest improvements to engineering processes for better delivery.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

• Support positive team culture and continuous learning through coaching and mentoring.

• Participate in community events and help design and deliver training programs.
