Job summary:
To oversee the development and execution of procurement plans and ensuring procurement activities are aligned with business objectives. Focuses on the continuous improvement of procurement performance, ensuring that procurement targets are met, and that supply chain operations are efficient, cost-effective, and resilient.
General Responsibilities:

Follow the operational strategy in compliance with group delegation of authority policy.

Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.

Reporting

Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business and organization’s policies and standards.

Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive procurement plans that align with the operational goals and business strategy.

Monitor procurement performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, delivery times, and supplier performance, ensuring continuous improvement.

Work closely with supply chain, logistics, and operations teams to ensure procurement planning aligns with inventory levels, production schedules, and business needs.

Identify potential risks within procurement processes and supply chain activities, developing contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.

Drive initiatives to improve supplier performance, ensuring suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

Implement cost-saving measures across procurement activities, identifying areas where efficiency can be improved without compromising quality or service.

Utilize data analytics to track procurement performance and provide actionable insights to senior management, ensuring decision-making is based on accurate, real-time data.

Work with the procurement excellence team to implement strategies that optimize sourcing, procurement cycles, and contract management.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting procurement needs, ensuring adequate resources are allocated to meet operational requirements.

Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement planning meets their needs and supports business continuity.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent
-
6 years of relevant working experience
