Key Responsibilities
Lead validation and testing of camera and optical modules across product lines.

Lead the validation and characterization of camera modules and systems, focusing on performance metrics such as FOV, MTF, distortion, and sharpness.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation strategies for camera and optics systems.

Analyze test results, identify issues, and drive root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering teams.

Provide technical expertise and guidance on camera/optics-related issues throughout the product lifecycle.

Document validation processes, test results, and provide clear reports to stakeholders.

Design and implement robust validation methodologies and solutions tailored to specific application challenges, including proposing image quality (IQ) metrics, setting up hardware configurations, and defining validation procedures for camera modules and devices across all product lines.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for camera performance, including image stabilization and display validation.

Utilize industry-standard charts (e.g., ESFR, DeadLeaf) and LED-based display validation techniques to assess and optimize camera and display quality.

Define and document camera and display performance requirements and validation methodologies.

Collaborate with hardware, software, and product teams to ensure camera systems meet user experience and product requirements.

Stay updated on the latest camera and optics technologies, standards, and compliance requirements.

Work Experience
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Optics, Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field.

8+ years of experience in product validation or testing, with a focus on camera and optics technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Deep understanding of camera systems, optics, image quality metrics, camera performance concepts, including FOV, MTF, distortion, sharpness, and image stabilization.

Hands-on experience with test equipment (e.g., optical benches, image quality test setups, light sources, etc.), Display Validation, LED-based testing, and industry-standard charts (ESFR, Dead Leaf, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with consumer electronics or wearable devices.

Familiarity with regulatory and certification processes for camera and optics features.

Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.).

Knowledge of hardware debugging and optical troubleshooting.
