LEAD REGISTERED NURSE

We are looking for a Lead Registererd Nurse to join our team. The Lead RN plays a vital role in supporting our mission and upholding our values by delivering safe, high-quality patient care in addition to monitoring providing oversight of our nursing team. This role combines direct patient care with leadership responsibilities, ensuring both clinical excellence and team efficiency.

Full-time schedule: 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide quality nursing care before, during and immediately after procedures

  • Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind.

  • Recognize and act on emergency care needs in the event of respiratory and/or cardiac occurrences.

  • Report emergencies, unusual occurrences, and/or problems to the Operations Manager.

  • Assist the Operations Manager in leading day to day operation and coordination of patient care.

  • Establish appropriate RN goals and strategies for meeting effective patient care.

  • Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to improve patient, provider and staff satisfaction.

  • Analyze clinical practice and identify opportunities to increase quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Identify clinical indicators to measure, evaluate and improve care.

  • Assist the Operations Manager in the recruitment, retention and performance of RN staff.

  • Monitor RN license and certification expiration dates.

  • Work with the Operations Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures

  • Registered Nurse with current RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a GI lab, Surgery Center or Critical Care setting highly preferred
  • Pre-Op and/or PACU experience is helpful
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases, such as EPIC, Modmed, required
  • Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move around a medical center/healthcare environment 90% of the time

  • Consistently grasps, moves or assembles small objects

  • Make quick, precise adjustments and manipulate machines and controls

  • Consistently uses computers and relays information verbally and through email, messages and phone.

  • Frequently communicates with others and exchanges information on an on-going basis.

  • Must be able to move up to 50 lbs.
