Lead S/4HANA EWM consultant

Lead S/4HANA EWM consultant for a global project is responsible for orchestrating full-cycle SAP EWM implementations, solution design, and leading distributed teams. The role combines functional leadership, cross-process integration, and execution coordination to deliver robust warehouse solutions aligned with business strategies and global standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full-cycle SAP EWM implementations, rollouts, and upgrades on S/4HANA across global sites.
• Facilitate Fit-to-Standard and user training workshops to promote scalable, best-practice SAP adoption.
• Drive the transition from SAP Warehouse Management (WM) to Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), ensuring system readiness for current and future logistics operations.
• Deliver expertise in major warehouse processes—returns, production, staging, consignment, subcontracting, physical inventory, quality inspections and trade compliance.
• Collaborate with other SAP module leads (TM, MM, SD, PP, QM, GTS) to deliver integrated, cross-functional solutions.
• Mentor, coach, and provide functional leadership for globally distributed team, ensuring delivery excellence.
• Conduct workshops and training for business users, ensuring knowledge transfer and solution adoption.
• Assess client requirements, conduct gap analysis, and design global template solutions.
• Manage escalation processes, incident resolution, and ensure SLA compliance for hypercare and post go-live phases.

Skills & Experience Requirements

• 10+ years of SAP EWM experience, including at least 2–3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, with at least one Greenfield deployment using embedded EWM.
• Extensive functional and configuration expertise in embedded SAP EWM, covering inbound/outbound flows, internal warehouse processes, RF integration, and staging strategies.
• Proven ability to deliver logistics execution solutions in global SAP programs, supporting distributed teams and navigating business unit-specific requirements while driving toward template standardization.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA and its role in enabling real-time warehouse analytics, advanced ATP, and performance optimization within embedded EWM.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience managing cross-functional, virtual, or geographically dispersed teams, with a focus on governance, harmonization, and stakeholder alignment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of trusted advisory to clients.
• Experience in developing test scripts, supporting test cycles, and managing end-to-end project documentation for large-scale, global template projects.
• Familiarity with the latest SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition (2025) features for embedded EWM, including Advanced Shipping & Receiving integration, and extensibility improvements for global template scalability.
