We are currently looking for a Lead Scheduler to join our RIGHT AT HOME Team! The Lead Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing schedules for homecare staff to ensure clients receive timely and high-quality care. This role involves communicating with clients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to create and maintain caregiver schedules and client services.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Coordination: Create and maintain schedules for caregivers based on client needs, staff availability, and geographic considerations.
Client Communication: Liaise with clients or their families to confirm appointments, discuss care requirements, and address scheduling concerns.
Staff Communication: Coordinate with caregivers to ensure they are informed of their schedules and any changes in a timely manner.
Conflict Resolution: Resolve scheduling conflicts, such as overlapping appointments or staff unavailability, while ensuring continuity of care for clients.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of schedules, client preferences, and staff assignments using the Wellsky EHR.
Compliance: Ensure schedules comply with organizational policies, labor laws, and healthcare regulations, including proper documentation of hours worked.
Emergency Coverage: Arrange for substitute caregivers or adjust schedules in case of emergencies, staff absences, or unexpected client needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with the home healthcare team and remote scheduler(s) to align scheduling with care plans and client priorities.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in scheduling, administrative support, or customer service, preferably in a Home Health, Home Care, or Hospice setting.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., HomeTrak, ClearCare, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts effectively.
Knowledge: Familiarity with home healthcare operations and regulations is a plus.
Certifications: No specific certifications required, but training in healthcare scheduling or administration is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role is typically office-based but may allow for hybrid or remote work from time to time.
Requires regular interaction with clients, caregivers, and healthcare staff via phone, email, or in-person.
May involve occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate scheduling needs or emergencies.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer or phone.
Occasional lifting of office supplies or files (up to 20 pounds).
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $35,000-$45,000/year
