Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead School Age Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with school-age children. This role involves developing and implementing engaging curricula that foster learning and growth, while also providing a safe and nurturing environment. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for guiding a team of educators, ensuring effective classroom management, and promoting the overall well-being of each child.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that align with educational standards.
  • Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other subjects.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
  • Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques.
  • Monitor and assess student progress through standardized testing and regular evaluations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers in their daily responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with child welfare regulations and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in childhood development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
