Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead School Age Teacher/Bus Driver to join our vibrant educational community. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young learners while ensuring their safe transportation to and from school. Duties

  • Lead the planning and implementation of age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development for school-age children.
  • Develop lesson plans that incorporate best practices in early childhood education, special education strategies, and Montessori methods where applicable.
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to support positive behavior and address challenges constructively.
  • Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and staff to support each child's unique developmental needs, including early intervention strategies when necessary.
  • Safely operate school buses according to all safety regulations, maintaining discipline and ensuring punctuality during pick-up and drop-off routines.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before each route; report maintenance issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
  • Foster open communication with students about bus safety rules and expectations to promote respectful behavior during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, student progress, incident reports, and transportation logs in compliance with organizational policies.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in childhood education with a strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children across various age groups, including toddlers through preschoolers and school-age students.
  • Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention techniques, literacy education strategies, and Montessori methods is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively.
  • Experience operating school buses safely while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols; Must be 21 years of age to drive the bus and have a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with childhood development milestones, classroom experience in daycare or private school settings preferred.
  • Ability to implement physical education activities and integrate math concepts into daily lessons creatively.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies to support academic achievement.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing lesson plans, student records, transportation schedules, and incident documentation. Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age.

Must pass a drug screen, TB test, and a background check.

Ideal candidate would be open to a split schedule or be flexible with floating in different classrooms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour
