Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to elevate our dining experience and lead our front-of-house team with enthusiasm and professionalism. As a key member of our restaurant, you will oversee daily service operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and support team members in delivering top-tier food and beverage service. Your leadership will inspire a lively, welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and staff are motivated to excel. Duties
- Lead the front-of-house team during service shifts, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of guest care
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing needs promptly, and creating a lively, welcoming environment
- Oversee food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Lauv POS, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Assist with food handling, food preparation coordination, and sanitation procedures to uphold food safety standards
- Support upselling efforts through suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar platforms to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Train new staff on service protocols, POS systems, sanitation practices, and customer relations to maintain consistency in service quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining or nightclub experience
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle fast-paced shifts efficiently
- Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and guest engagement
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage cash handling accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or busser is beneficial for understanding guest relations and restaurant flow
