As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking (Wealth Management), you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others

Involve in a highly complex modernization initiative to solve time bound tasks
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems

Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture

Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience

Strong Technical skill in Java/J2EE , Spring , Springboot
- Strong in RDBMS concepts; PL/SQL knowledge, ORM - Awareness and basic Linux/UNIX

Hands-on experience on Intellij, Maven, BitBucket/GIT, Test Automation and JIRA
- Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations’ Agile project life-cycle

Take ownership of business-critical and complex applications

Identify technical improvements, Process Improvements, innovative solutions and suggest

Expertise in Java/J2EE hands on
code Reviews – PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management & Exposure to web services (WSDL or WADL), concepts and implementation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Conversant with UI frameworks – Angular, REACT, JavaScript
- Amazon Web Services / Cloud Foundry

Good to have knowledge of Cloud containers , CI/CD tools
- Good to have knowledge of Apache Kafka, or other messaging systems
