Job Description Summary:
Responsible for the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of a portfolio of applications within a defined business domain (e.g. manufacturing and mass timber) and ensuring that solutions deliver value to end users, align with enterprise standards, and advance business outcomes. Provide portfolio-level leadership across multiple solutions including balancing priorities, resources, and roadmaps, while also being accountable for domain-wide business value realization, process optimization, and stakeholder alignment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Define and articulate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the application portfolio within the assigned domain.
  • Serve as the domain solutions expert, bridging business needs with technology capabilities.
  • Gather and document business requirements across multiple stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Analyze and document current and future state business processes, including workflows, handoffs, and dependencies.
  • Articulate business value for initiatives by connecting solution capabilities to measurable outcomes (e.g., productivity, cost savings, risk reduction).
  • Manage application backlogs, enhancements, and upgrades across multiple platforms.
  • Coordinate pilots, phased rollouts, and domain-specific change management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and end users in the domain.
  • Act as a voice of the customer, gathering feedback across applications and translating it into actionable improvements.
  • Manage escalated application issues and partner with support teams to resolve them.
  • Oversee release readiness, patch testing, and cross-functional enablement activities.
  • Act as a thought leader within the domain, influencing decision-making and establishing frameworks for application governance.
  • Prioritize initiatives across applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
  • Lead roadmap planning sessions with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Serve as a translator between technical and business teams, ensuring requirements are actionable and well understood.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions to capture needs and validate solutions.
  • Monitor adoption, performance, and KPIs across the portfolio to inform enhancements.
  • Facilitate governance forums to align priorities, manage dependencies, and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure documentation, SOPs, workflows, and training materials are maintained across applications.
  • Promote standardization and reuse of processes and integrations within the domain.
  • Demonstrate readiness for future people leadership by helping shape role expectations, participating in hiring discussions, and modeling leadership behaviors.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field experience.
  • 5–8 years of experience in enterprise application or solutions management, including 2+ years in a lead, senior, or portfolio-focused role.
  • Demonstrated business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and articulating business value.
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, integrations, and system dependencies.
  • Ability to connect business needs with technical capabilities, ensuring solutions are scalable and value-driven and experience with Mass Timber production.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing technology platforms including, SAP S4/Hana, Manufacturing Execution.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment with minimal supervision, while adapting to shifting priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Skilled in leading workshops, presenting to leadership, and creating clear solution documentation.
