Lead Specialist – Program Manager (PMO)

The Lead Specialist – Program Management Office is responsible for providing overall Project Governance, ensuring alignment, tracking and reporting of all projects activity across

(a) EISD Program elements : internal functions such as Product Development, IT, Operations, Chief Operating Officer, Risk Compliance and Regulation, as well as with

(b) the Primary Vendor,

(c) 3rd Party Outsourced Service providers, and

(d) FMI Participants.


Core Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Provide strategic oversight of multiple related projects and deliverables in respect of tracking, reporting and identifying all interdependencies in order to achieve an overall set of business objectives (strategic alignment of EISD’s mission and goals),
  • Integrate projects across the program, manage cross-function and business interdependencies, providing a consolidated view on project interdependencies,
  • Maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) log, and liase with stakeholders to identify any mitigating and improvement actions and opportunities. In conjunction with the relevant corporate function, support and enrich input into the risk register,
  • Identify other appropriate program and project metrics and success criteria to continuously improve the quality and accuracy of the program reporting,
  • Prepare Senior Management presentations on overall Program progress, highlighting all potential RAID issues that will need to be addressed.

Qualifications & Experience


  • 7+ years of experience in the post trade banking or infrastructure industry
  • Strategic Planning skills
  • Relevant Program Management Qualification (for example, PgMP Certification)
  • Capability to engage with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of financial market trends and practices
  • Track record of having participated in / led a major program management initiative
  • Good communication skills (conviction skills and sensitive communication style)
  • Senior presentation skills
  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English
  • Nice to have: knowledge of the product and services of a Securities Settlement System and Depository


Self-Management Responsibilities


  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended

-Technical

Program / Project Management experience

Program / Project Management experience & qualifications (in particular understanding of Agile methodologies) and practical experience with at least one of the following: PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, AgilePM, Scrum Alliance.

MS-Office (Excel, Access VB, SQL)

MS-Office proficiency.

Data Analysis & Interpretation

Nice to have: experience in Business Intelligence, Python.


Capital Markets / Financial Services expertise

Capital Markets / Financial Services expertise and practical experience (in particular Post-Trade / Securities Services, Securities Lending, Repo, Collateral Management).
