Lead-Strategic Sourcing (Metal Fabrication)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Lead – Strategic Sourcing professional to manage sourcing, costing, and supplier development for Metal, Fabrication, Plastics & Rubber commodities in the 2W/3W domain. The role requires strong expertise in supplier management, new product development, and cross-functional collaboration with proven leadership in team handling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead sourcing, pricing, costing, and negotiations for Metal, Fabrication, Plastics & Rubber.

2. Drive supplier development with focus on South India (Hosur/Bangalore/Chennai).

3. Manage a team of minimum 3 sourcing professionals.

4. Collaborate with Quality, Design, and Manufacturing for new product development.

5. Execute cost optimization, VA/VE initiatives, and supplier consolidation.

6. Maintain supplier relationships and provide market intelligence.

Qualifications:

1. 13–20 years in sourcing/procurement within 2W/3W OEMs.

2. 7–10 years in strategic sourcing (not SCM/logistics).

3. 3–5 years experience in NPD for Metal/Fabrication/Plastics/Rubber.

4. 5+ years working with cross-functional teams.

5. Worked with TVS / Yamaha / Bajaj for minimum 5–8 years.

6. Strong leadership, negotiation, and supplier management skills
