Sourcing Manager SCM

1. Qualification

● B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred)

● Minimum 7–10 years in strategic sourcing, preferably in engineering goods or genset industry

● SAP/ERP system working knowledge

● Strong negotiation and supplier development skills

2. Roles & Responsibilities

● Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, bought-out components, and subcontracted jobs

● Develop vendor capabilities for quality, cost, and delivery (QCD)

● Handle price negotiation, rate contract finalization, and supplier agreements

● Ensure continuity of supply and manage risks

● Work cross-functionally with Design, PPC, QA, and Manufacturing teams

3. Key Activities

● Float RFQs and evaluate quotations

● Prepare cost comparisons and get approvals

● Monitor supplier performance (OTD, rejection rate)

● Conduct supplier audits and initiate improvement plans

● Track market trends and alternative sourcing options

● Coordinate with inward and stores for PO compliance
