Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with diverse learners, including those with developmental disabilities and special needs. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that fosters the growth and development of all students. Will have to follow our current Curriculum Streaming3.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all learners, including those with special education requirements.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies, including Montessori and behavioral therapy techniques, to enhance student learning experiences.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Conduct assessments and standardized testing to monitor student progress in literacy, math, and other subjects.
- Provide speech therapy and early intervention strategies as needed to support communication development.
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate learning technology to engage students effectively.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting social-emotional development through behavior management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families regarding their child's development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Preferred but NOT required.
- CDA Credentials Required.
- Proven classroom experience with children, particularly in preschool or daycare settings a minimun of 2 years experience required.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with other developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with literacy education practices and early childhood curriculum development is essential.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and needs within the classroom.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
