Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills and a passion for fostering child development across diverse learning environments. This role involves leading instructional activities, developing curriculum, and supporting students with special needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. The Lead Teacher will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom that promotes early childhood education and literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
  • Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
  • Utilize classroom management techniques to support positive behavior and engagement.
  • Incorporate learning technology and educational tools to enhance instruction.
  • Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support students’ communication, social skills, and behavioral health.
  • Adapt teaching strategies for children with autism, disabilities, or developmental delays, including implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, literacy education, physical education, Montessori methods, or other specialized areas.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's development.
  • Support early childhood education initiatives including preschool programs, daycare activities, and private school curricula.

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or special education settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs.
  • Experience developing curriculum tailored for diverse learners, including toddlers, preschoolers, and students in private or daycare settings.
  • Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behavior management strategies, and learning technology integration.
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation as well as literacy education practices.
  • Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for children’s growth and learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
