Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in an engaging educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, social-emotional skills, and inclusive learning experiences. Your leadership will ensure that each child's unique needs are met through innovative teaching strategies, collaborative curriculum development, and effective classroom management. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and individual student needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment
- Collaborate with specialists such as speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and special education professionals to support students’ individualized education programs (IEPs) and developmental goals
- Utilize learning technology and educational tools to enhance instruction and engage diverse learners effectively
- Conduct assessments, including standardized testing and formative evaluations, to monitor student progress and inform instruction
- Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, social skills, and emotional regulation
- Maintain detailed documentation of student development, IEPs, behavior plans, and communication with families to ensure ongoing support and compliance with regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience managing classrooms in early childhood or preschool settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for young children, including Montessori or other specialized approaches preferred
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques, behavioral health strategies, and working with children with autism or other disabilities
- Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and tools used in early childhood education environments
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to support child welfare and educational success

Pay: $17.00 - $18.25 per hour
