Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, speech therapy, and behavioral health strategies.
- Lead classroom activities that support early intervention, childhood development, and special education needs for children with diverse abilities.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral management techniques and behavior therapy strategies to create a safe, respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and specialists to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique requirements.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and instructional best practices.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to track progress and inform instruction; utilize data to adapt teaching approaches accordingly.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports children with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, deaf education needs, and other developmental challenges.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral reports, and communication logs to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, library services for children, and special education techniques.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or private schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across literacy education, math instruction, speech therapy integration, and behavioral health strategies.
- Experience working with children with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and implementing individualized support plans such as IEPs.
- Strong background in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and effective learning environments.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used for early childhood evaluation.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading teaching teams within preschool or Montessori settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, therapists, and community resources involved in child development.
