Lead Teacher- Toddler Classroom

Summary

We are seeking a Daycare Teacher to join our team in the capacity of caring for children while they are at our facility. The position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in an exciting and fun environment. We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with the idea of being on their feet a great portion of the day and can provide active play for children at our daycare facility.

Full time positions may be available.

Duties

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet every parent or child in a cheerful, upbeat and joyous manner
• Plan, organize, and implement "Learn through Play" Instructional Curriculum in a Christian learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfil their academic potential.
• Create age-appropriate lesson plans and incorporate handwriting, crafts, games, hands on activities, field trips and daily homework to support curriculum.
• Maintain a small group by monitoring the children's safety
• Must be able to lift, pull, push, or hold 20-30 pounds
• Establish classrooms rules and behavior procedures
• Enforce all student administration policies and state governing rules
• Report physical or developmental problems that may require further attention
• Update parent(s) via email, school app or telephone
• Serve meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines as well as recognizing and documenting allergies of each child
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the facility and all its parts (ie: bathrooms, classrooms, kitchen, etc.)

Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High school education required
• Background check required
• 2 year of professional childcare experience (Preferred)
• CPR/First Aid certification required

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Social Science.
• Comfortable working with 2 and or 3-year-old toddlers.
• Possess the ability to open and or close facilities periodically.
• Daycare Training Certificates
