Lead Toddler Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our brand new daycare is opening in the late winter, but this position would begin sooner (reach out for clarification). In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for toddlers, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and individualized care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, with experience in classroom management and a commitment to supporting the unique needs of each child.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for toddlers.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while encouraging positive interactions among children.
• Provide individualized attention to children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
• Supervise daily activities, including playtime, meals, and nap times, ensuring the well-being of each child.
• Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Keep accurate records of children's development and progress.

Experience

• Proven experience working with toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting is essential.
• Background in early childhood education or related fields is required. Associates or Bachelors Degree in related field or CDA credentials are required for this position.
• Familiarity with childhood development principles and practices.
• Experience in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
• First aid certification is preferred; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Prior experience as a nanny or babysitter can be beneficial for this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
