Our Toddler Teachers are key in guiding curious young learners as they begin to explore independence, social skills, and early learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for toddlers (typically 12–24 months).
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that encourage social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
• Support toddlers as they begin learning self-help skills such as feeding, toileting, and simple routines.
• Establish strong, positive relationships with families through daily communication and progress updates.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each child by following state licensing regulations and Bright Star Kids Academy policies.
• Observe, document, and assess children’s developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to maintain a supportive and professional team environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.

Qualifications (Education Required)

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education strongly preferred.
• Prior experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
• Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, patience, and nurturing skills.
