Pay rate $18.50 - $20.00 / hr based on experience and qualifications with pay reevaluated after 6 months.

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, promote early childhood development, and create a safe, stimulating environment for toddlers. Your leadership, while working alongside other caregivers, will inspire young learners and support their growth during these foundational years.

Duties

  • Plan and implement engaging daily activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers
  • Provide attentive care tailored to each child's individual needs, including diapering, meal-time, and nurturing routines
  • Manage classroom behavior with positive guidance strategies and effective behavior management techniques
  • Foster a safe environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address any concerns
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers in the classroom setting
  • Maintain accurate records of children's developmental milestones, attendance, and daily activities

Qualifications

  • Must be qualified to work as a lead teacher by obtaining a CDA, Associate's degree in Early Childhood or related field or having 9 credits towards a degree
  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings, including classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification in first aid and CPR preferred; must be willing to obtain at the cost of the Center
  • Prior experience in daycare or nannying/babysitting roles involving infants or toddlers preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to manage a classroom confidently while fostering a nurturing environment
