Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture young minds in our faith-based early childhood education program. As a ministry-minded educator, you will lead engaging classroom activities, foster a safe and loving environment, and support toddlers as they grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Duties

  • Lead daily classroom activities tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, encouraging curiosity and hands-on exploration
  • Incorporate age-appropriate faith-based lessons, Bible stories, prayer, and character-building principles into the curriculum
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual growth
  • Model Christ-like behavior through words and actions
  • Observe and monitor individual progress; communicate effectively with parents regarding development and milestones
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers to maintain high-quality care and educational standards
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and developmental observations in compliance with licensing regulations
  • Follow and implement health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to ensure a secure classroom environment

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development, specifically toddler age groups
  • Experience in preschool or daycare settings, particularly with toddlers or infants
  • Alignment with and support of our Christian faith and mission
  • Effective classroom management skills that foster a structured, positive learning atmosphere
  • Experience supporting children with diverse needs, including special education or accommodations for disabilities
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication skills for partnering with families and collaborating with team members
  • Understanding of positive behavior guidance techniques rooted in grace and encouragement

Pay: $11.85 - $15.00 per hour
