Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Extruder Operator to manage our twin-screw production line. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing both Soft and Hard PVC products. This role requires a deep understanding of the mixing and extrusion process, specifically involving CaCO_3 (Calcium Carbonate), chemical powder additives, and precision temperature control.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, start, and monitor the twin-screw extrusion line to ensure continuous and efficient production.
- Material Preparation: Accurately mix raw PVC resin with CaCO_3 and chemical powder additives according to specific technical formulations.
- Quality Control: Constantly monitor the output for consistency in texture, strength, and dimensions for both rigid (hard) and flexible (soft) PVC.
- Technical Adjustment: Adjust screw speeds, torque settings, and heating zones to prevent material degradation and ensure a perfect melt.
- Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning of the screws and barrels to prevent cross-contamination between different batches or hardness levels.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve common extrusion issues such as surging, venting problems, or uneven wall thickness.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience specifically operating twin-screw extruders.
- PVC Expertise: Proven knowledge of PVC processing, including the behavior of stabilizers, plasticizers, and fillers (CaCO_3).
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use hand tools for die changes and basic mechanical repairs.
- Formula Management: Strong ability to calculate mixing ratios and percentages for chemical additives to ensure batch consistency.
- Safety Conscious: Strict adherence to industrial safety standards, including the use of PPE and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Preferred Attributes
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial warehouse setting.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with the technical maintenance and management teams.
- Prior experience in high-output manufacturing or recycling environments.
