Lead User Interface Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated UI/UX Lead with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this mid-career role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the UX vision while establishing principles and strategies that elevate the user experience. Your expertise in translating complex requirements into seamless end-to-end user journeys, flows, wireframes, and UI specifications will be crucial. As a leader, you will mentor a team of designers, ensuring consistent design quality and adherence to usability and accessibility standards. Your role will involve conducting design reviews, providing actionable feedback prior to development, and collaborating closely with Product Owners, Analysts, and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation. A proven ability to support project delivery through clarifications, UAT validation, and a commitment to continuous improvement is essential. Proficiency in both Arabic and English is a must, and familiarity with DGA Platforms Code will be beneficial.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in UX/UI Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in UI/UX design, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record in defining and executing UX vision and strategy.
• Strong experience creating user journey maps, flows, wireframes, and UI specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead design reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
• Familiarity with usability and accessibility standards, ensuring compliance throughout the design process.
• Experience in closely collaborating with Product Owners and Engineers to deliver high-quality products.
• Track record in facilitating end-to-end project delivery, including UAT validation and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in design execution.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to stakeholders of various technical backgrounds.
• Experience with DGA Platforms Code is preferred.
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English is required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the UX vision, principles, and strategies to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.
• Translate user needs and project requirements into clear, user-centric design artifacts including journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Ensure adherence to usability, accessibility, and design standards across all projects, integrating the design system and brand identity.
• Conduct regular design reviews, offering actionable feedback that enhances design quality and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Analysts to clarify requirements and ensure the feasibility of designs.
• Partner with engineering teams throughout the development process to guarantee adherence to design intent and quality standards.
• Support project delivery by validating designs during user acceptance testing (UAT) and implementing necessary adjustments based on feedback.
• Continuously assess and improve design processes, ensuring best practices and innovative solutions are integrated.
• Engage in stakeholder discussions to advocate for user experience and champion design-driven decision-making.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and technologies to inform design practices and enhance end-user experiences.

Required Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of UI/UX design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar applications.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design, usability principles, and accessibility guidelines.
• Ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes that effectively communicate design concepts.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a focus on team development and design excellence.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with experience in articulating design solutions to multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate user feedback for continuous design improvement.
• Familiarity with front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient with user research methods and usability testing techniques.
