About Behavioral Health Partners
Behavioral Health Partners is a fast-growing startup agency with active clients in 20 US regions with ambitious plans to scale aggressively. We specialize in delivering high-impact digital marketing strategies for behavioral health and addiction treatment centers.

Our mission goes beyond rankings and traffic. We are committed to helping people suffering from addiction and mental health challenges find the right treatment programs to recover. Our founder and many of our employees and partners are either in recovery themselves or have been personally impacted by addiction through a close family member or friend. This gives us a unique perspective and a deep sense of responsibility to make our work meaningful. Every campaign we run has the potential to change and save lives.

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Web Developer who will take full ownership of rebuilding and maintaining client websites in WordPress using the Gutenberg block editor. This role combines front-end creativity with back-end precision and technical SEO expertise.

You will collaborate closely with our SEO, CRO, and design teams to develop high-performing websites that align with both client goals and our mission-driven growth strategy.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can balance creative vision with clean, scalable code, and is ready to grow into a Development Director role overseeing a team as our agency continues expanding nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rebuild client websites from Elementor to Gutenberg using clean, scalable WordPress architecture
  • Design and develop custom WordPress themes and templates that reflect each client’s brand and deliver an optimal user experience
  • Lead UI and UX design for all web builds and redesigns, ensuring user flow and engagement align with SEO and CRO objectives
  • Optimize website performance to meet Core Web Vitals standards and resolve technical issues proactively
  • Ensure every website is fully responsive and performs consistently across all devices and browsers
  • Integrate and maintain GA4, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, and CallTrackingMetrics across all client sites
  • Collaborate with SEO and CRO teams to execute page layout, navigation, and conversion-based design improvements
  • Participate in morning team meetings with leadership, SEO, and paid media teams to align web development priorities with campaign goals
  • Work closely with the Head of Client Success to support client updates, launches, and maintenance requests
  • Maintain organized systems, document development SOPs, and contribute to internal scalability as the agency grows
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, WordPress updates, and design trends relevant to performance and user experience
  • Prepare to grow into a Development Director role, managing a full development team and setting the technical and creative direction for the agency

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience, including Gutenberg and custom theme creation
  • Proven experience leading responsive web design and front-end development with a strong eye for UI/UX
  • Deep understanding of technical SEO and its relationship to site structure, speed, and user experience
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for WordPress
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance, speed, and compatibility issues
  • Familiarity with integrating tracking tools such as GA4, GTM, HubSpot, and CallTrackingMetrics
  • Experience collaborating with SEO, CRO, and marketing teams on design and structure decisions
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to quality and detail
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced remote environment

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $72,000 to $85,000 (DOE)
  • Bonus Structure: 5 to 20 percent quarterly performance-based bonuses tied to deliverables outlined each fiscal quarter, with additional discretionary bonuses at leadership discretion
  • 401(k): 7 percent match after 90 days
  • Remote Flexibility: Fully remote, results-driven culture focused on execution and ownership
  • Purpose: Work that directly impacts lives by helping people find recovery
  • Growth: A defined advancement structure and mentorship from experienced leadership

Career Growth Path

  • Year 1: Lead website rebuilds, optimize client sites, and develop scalable systems for design and development
  • Year 2: Promotion to Senior Web Developer, overseeing multiple projects and mentoring junior developers as the agency expands
  • Year 3: Promotion to Development Director, managing a full development team, refining processes, and leading innovation across all Behavioral Health Partners web assets
