Lead Wind Engineer

ACWA Power is seeking a Lead Wind Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team, reporting directly to the BU O&M Director for Wind. This is a critical role with high impact on our wind energy delivery strategy and a unique opportunity to help shape and sustain wind operations in KSA and beyond.

About the Role:

The Wind Technical Manager (WTM) will lead technical training, support the creation of high-performing local technical teams in new and existing wind markets, and ensure the highest standards in maintenance and operations across ACWA Power’s Wind portfolio. The role is instrumental in building operational excellence and asset integrity, contributing to outstanding plant availability and performance.

Location:

• Base: Riyadh , Jeddah , Saudi Arabia or Dubai , UAE, with frequent travel regionally and oversees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and support local wind O&M structures and training frameworks
• Provide 2nd level technical support across all wind maintenance activities
• Review and develop technical standards, equipment specs, and maintenance practices
• Lead technical troubleshooting, lessons learned, and risk mitigation efforts
• Support design reviews, safety system changes, and cross-project engineering alignment
• Drive best practices in Electrical Balance of Plant (BoP) systems and wind technologies
• Establish sustainable technical processes and O&M structures in KSA

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Experience: 8–15 years in Wind O&M, including hands-on exposure to:
• Vestas and/or Envision technologies
• Electrical BoP systems
• Asset lifecycle management and technical process development
• Strong technical leadership, with the ability to mentor and transfer knowledge
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), Arabic is an advantage.
